The following Longies.com Discussion Board (to be referred to as “LDC”) protocols (rules of use), as approved by the Longies.com Discussion Board Committee (to be referred to as “LDCC”), will be published and maintained on the LDC. Disregard for the LDC protocols and rules may result in immediate suspension/revokation of LDC privileges.

When registering for the LDC, your profile must be completed with the following minimum information:

4. Surname (Last name)
5. City
6. State

The LDC is a membership privilege (not a right) extended to and limited to Longies.com Certified Inspector Members, Inspector Members, Associate Members and Affiliate members who agree to abide by the posted LDC protocols.

The purpose of the LDC is strictly for the education of its participants in the technical aspects of the Longshore profession along with the sharing of personal experiences directly related to longshore issues. The LDC is also utilized for the posting of association related notices. Although some levels of humor, in moderation, may be acceptable, posts of a political or abusive nature and those involving union matters will be removed at the LDCC's discretion.

A vendor related section of the LDC will be made available for Longies.com Affiliate members to offers goods, services and seminars to users of the LDC. Advertising or promoting of services or products is prohibited unless in the affiliates / vendor’s section.

Opinions expressed on the LDC are those of the authors of the posts and do not necessarily reflect the official position or opinions of Longies.com. Longies.com assumes no legal responsibility for the opinions of the user’s of the LDC.

A selected committee of volunteer Longies.com members and administrative staff members monitors the LDC. The LDCC Chairperson shall be appointed by Longies.com’s Board of Directors. The LDCC Chairperson shall appoint the LDCC members from the Longies.com membership roster and the administrative staff who are willing to serve a term and pledge their personal time and exercise responsible care in maintaining the LDC as an educational venue within the spirit of its creators. The size of the LDCC shall be predicated based on the needs of the LDC

The LDCC Chairperson shall have the means and responsibility to remove anymember's post that does not comply with the approved LDC protocols asdetermined by a majority vote of the LDCC. The Chairperson can temporarily remove a member's post if the chairperson or any LDCCmember believes it does not comply with LDC protocol
